Settle in for a leisurely drive to captivating Priene, nestled at the base of an escarpment on Mount Mycale, and find ruins dating to the 6th century BC. You’ll visit remains of the Temple of Athena, erected by Alexander the Great in 334 BC, and an expansive 4th-century BC Greek theater altered by the Romans 600 years later to increase its capacity to 6,000 spectators. Behold ancient Miletus, a major maritime power in the 6th century BC due to its four harbors, and view the wonderfully preserved Greco-Roman theater, the impressive Roman Baths of Faustina and a rectangular stadium built by the Greeks and later enlarged by the Romans. In the ancient Greek sanctuary of Didyma, you’ll behold ruins of the magnificent Temple of Apollo, considered to be one of antiquity’s great monuments, which was constructed over a period of 600 years. PLEASE NOTE 

This tour includes approximately two miles of walking, lasting over two hours, plus any additional walking at the guest’s discretion during free time. There will be uneven surfaces, inclines and numerous steps to negotiate. The tour is not recommended for guests who utilize a wheelchair and guests with mobility concerns. At the end of the tour, guests will be dropped off in town, as the buses are not allowed to return them to the cruise ship terminal parking lot. There will be a short walk from the drop-off point in town back to the Kusadasi Terminal building.
